DUI Checkpoint Set for Friday
DUI and driver's license checkpoints are proven deterrents to drunk driving, according to the Redondo Beach Police Department.

The Redondo Beach Police Department has scheduled a DUI and driver's license checkpoint Friday night.
Officers will be checking drivers passing through the checkpoint for signs of alcohol and/or drug intoxication from the hours of 7 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday.
Police did not say where the checkpoint would be, only that it would occur within the Redondo Beach city limits.
Motorists caught driving impaired face jail, license suspension and insurance increases, as well as fines, fees, DUI classes and other expenses that can exceed $10,000.
