Redondo Beach Announces Annual Community Safety Fair

The fair is also the kick-off event for Fire Prevention Week and Crime Prevention Month.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — The Redondo Beach Police Department announced Thursday the Annual Community Safety Fair and Police Department Open House will be on Oct. 2.

The fair will go from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Civic Center, 415 Diamond St. It is also the kick-off event for Fire Prevention Week and Crime Prevention Month.

"As part of the Community Oriented Policing philosophy, the Police Department’s doors will be open to the public," RBPD Officer Michael Diehr said. "Everyone is invited to tour the police facility and enjoy the activities at the Safety Fair."

Event will feature:

  • Live Demonstrations by the K-9, Motorcycle and S.W.A.T Units
  • Police and Fire Displays
  • Firearms Simulator Demo
  • Police Facility Tours
  • Free Bike Registration
  • Free Gun Locks
  • Free Child I.D. Kits (supplies are limited)
  • Free Barbecue Hot Dogs
  • Play Area for the Kids
  • Children's Bouncer
  • Bicycle Rodeo- for kids 10 and under- bring your bike and helmet

The newly established Redondo Beach Police Foundation will also be launching at the Public Safety Fair.
