Redondo Beach-Based Cantor to Sing National Anthem before Sunday Kings Game

It's part of Jewish Heritage Night.

Cantor Kenneth Jaffe of Temple Menorah in Redondo Beach will sing the U.S. and Canadian national anthems before Sunday’s Los Angeles Kings-Winnipeg Jets game at Staples Center in connection with Jewish Heritage Night.

Jaffe sang opera professionally throughout the nation, performing dozens of roles with several companies, before becoming a cantor.

Discounted tickets, which included a Kings “Jewish Pride” puck, were offered to synagogues, Jewish schools and the LA Jewish Hockey League

Jewish Heritage Night is the first of five Heritage Nights the Kings will hold this season. The others are Russian Heritage Night (Oct. 26), Native American Heritage Night (Nov. 20), Armenian Heritage Night (Jan. 10) and Canadian Heritage Night (Jan. 12).
