Vandalism in the Hollywood Riviera
Someone threw an egg from a moving vehicle at another vehicle near the intersection of Calle Mayor and Palos Verdes Boulevard.
Commercial burglaries in Redondo Beach
Hector Fernandez was arrested on suspicion of burglary Tuesday. According to police, Fernandez was arrested after he tried to remove items from Target without paying Tuesday evening.
Someone stole a bicycle from Target on Monday evening. The thief was described as a 6-foot tall, 180-pound, 40-year-old white man with gray hair.
Brenda D. Cortez was arrested on suspicion of burglary Saturday. Police believe she entered an open business in the 300 block of South Pacific Coast Highway on Saturday and removed items without paying. No loss was reported as the items were recovered.
Residential burglaries in Redondo Beach
Someone kicked in the rear door of a home in the 400 block of North Prospect Avenue on Monday and stole jewelry.
A burglar removed the screen from an open side window of a home in the 1000 block of Camino Real on Monday. The culprit stole jewelry, high-end purses, savings bonds, a case and a diamond ring.
Jewelry was stolen from a home in the 100 block of Avenue E on Sunday. The burglar smashed the glass side door to enter.
At some point between May 15 and Sunday, someone forced the window of a home in the 600 block of South Prospect Avenue. No loss was reported.
A burglar forced the side window of a home in the 600 block of Avenue B at some point May 14-15 and stole jewelry.
Luggage and a stool were stolen after a burglar cut the lock and forced the latch on a garage storage area in the 800 block of Camino Real. The theft was reported Monday.
Vehicle burglary in Redondo Beach
Someone punched the lock of a 2007 Chevrolet Express van parked in the 1800 block of Speyer Lane at some point May 13-14. No loss was reported.
