Report: RUHS to Get 110 iPads
Teachers and faculty at Redondo Union High School will go high-tech in some classrooms, according to the school's newspaper.

will receive 110 Apple iPads within the coming weeks, according to a report from the high school's newspaper, High Tide.
Assistant Principal Jens Brandt told reporter Kayla Maanum that the tablets will "get students more excited about lessons."
"We're excited to see what kind of effect it's going to have on student learning," Brandt said. "We know it's going to be positive."

The iPads will be paid for with . At a recent fundraiser, the foundation announced it had given faculty of the more than $62,000 in this year's round of grants.
At least six grants paid for iPads for the science, library media, special education math, music, special education history and technology departments at the high school.

Mira Costa High School in neighboring Manhattan Beach already uses iPads as part of its curriculum, according to the High Tide report.
