Reward Unclaimed in Perez Conviction
As a result of a tip made through the WeTip service, Tony Lopez Perez is convicted of killing Cori Desmond.

WeTip is offering a reward to the anonymous tipster who helped San Bernardino County deputies catch Tony Lopez Perez, the man convicted of killing bartender Cori Desmond and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
According to the San Bernardino County Sun, the caller—who has only been identified by ID No. 523373—can claim his or her reward by calling WeTip at 800-78-CRIME (800-782-7463). That person will have to provide a three-part code.
The Sun reported that the caller identified Perez, described his car and told the hotline about a Running Springs trip Perez made.

WeTip did not disclose how large the reward was; however, its website says tipsters can earn as much as $1,000.
Prosecutors say Perez dumped Desmond's body near Running Springs after smothering and strangling her on Valentine's Day 2009 outside the BAC Street bar on Artesia Boulevard.
