Sea Hawks Win State Basketball Title

The 54-47 victory over College Park capped a strong season for the boys varsity basketball team.

For the first time in school history, the Redondo Union High School Sea Hawks boys basketball team have won the Division II state title.

The 54-47 victory over College Park Saturday afternoon in Sacramento capped a strong season for first-year coach Reggie Morris Jr., whose team finished with a record of 28-8.

Sophomore Jeremiah Headley scored 19 points off the bench, including a massive dunk with 33.9 seconds left in the game, according to the Los Angeles Times. (Check out the attached YouTube video to see the dunk.) Junior Ian Fox scored 11 points; senior Derek Biale scored 10 points.
