Small Tennis Ball at Redondo Beach Park Nearly Killed Big Dog
A South Bay family is hoping to warn the public about this unexpected danger.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — A South Bay family learned the hard way how a small tennis ball can be a big problem for big dogs.
The Shaw family from Torrance was playing with their family dog at the Redondo Beach dog park in an area for big dogs when a tennis ball meant for small dogs fell into the area.
The Shaws' dog chomped on the ball and swallowed it. The dog had to get an emergency surgery to remove the ball.
