South Bay Man Killed In Crash With Parked Cars

A 35-year-old man was killed in a crash in the South Bay early Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

TORRANCE, CA — A South Bay man crashed into several parked cars and died early Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

The Torrance Police Department responded to Torrance Boulevard and Fern Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. Upon arriving, police discovered a vehicle had been involved in a collision and the driver was ejected.

According to preliminary investigation results, the vehicle was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when it crashed into several parked cars. The driver of the car was the only person injured in the incident, police said.

The 35-year-old man was pronounced dead at a hospital after the crash, police said. His name was withheld pending notification of his family.
