Stern Appointed to City Commission
Julian Stern, 18, made headlines when he became the youngest candidate to run for Redondo Beach City Council.

Despite a loss in the race to represent Redondo Beach's District 4 on the city council, Julian Stern is not giving up on politics.
Stern, who made headlines at the end of last year when he nearly ran as a write-in candidate for council because he was not yet 18 at the time of the filing deadline, will now be a member of the Redondo Beach Public Safety Commission.
Mayor Mike Gin recommended his appointment to fill a vacant seat on the commission. The rest of the city council unanimously approved the appointment Tuesday night.
