Storm to Hit South Bay Friday Night
Up to an inch of rain is expected along the Southern California coast, according to the National Weather Service.

Storms are expected to hit Southern California on Friday night, bringing rain that will continue overnight, according to the National Weather Service.
It's unclear how much rain is expected, but it appears most areas will receive between one quarter and one inch of rainfall, with the highest amounts expected along the coast, the NWS said.
The NWS forecast a 70 percent chance of precipitation on Saturday morning for Redondo Beach, with a high near 63. The predicted low for Saturday night is 54 degrees with a 20 percent chance of showers and some wind.

A slight chance of thunderstorms was reported, and if those do develop the amount of rain likely will be heavier in some spots than others, the weather service said. There is also a slight chance of hail.
Local wind gusts up to 45 mph can be expected across the mountain areas, with breezy conditions expected across most lover elevations as the front approaches.

A high-surf advisory was issued for Southland beaches until 10 a.m. Saturday. Surf is expected to reach up to seven feet on west-facing beaches.
