"This will be my son's second year at AdventureCamp--he had a great time last summer. A variety of activities are set in place each week--gardening, arts & crafts, trips to the park, Beach Day, etc. This summer we can't wait for Pirate Day---argh!" —Viv B.
"Adventureplex camp in Manhattan Beach is a wild ride for kids of all ages. My kids felt safe, and cared for and laughed the whole day through. It is reasonably priced and a good way to get the kids exercise too. I highly recommend it and would absolutely have them in it a few weeks this Summer too." —LM Taub

Eat at Joe's Fans Rush to Defend Restaurant
After landmark diner received a from Bianca Avelino, restaurant fans protested:
"Let me tell you Bianca, Eat at Joe's is the place to go. I've been going to Joe's for a long time. More so from 2003. The owner and all the workers welcome you like it's their home. They have open seating so everyone can have a seat asap. And they do have it posted in the morning please wait in line to be seated. I go there cause they treat me like family. When I lost my two boys they shared tears with me and recently my Dad was diagnosed with Cancer and they treat him like there is no tomorrow." —fred h alvarez
"I have been going to Joe's since the early 90's and I have loved each and every time I have been there. The staff there have always been friendly and quick to refill coffee/cokes. The food and the prices [cannot] be beat. I no longer live in the direct area, but I am always craving to go back to get my John Wayne breakfast fix.
"It's interesting, there is usually a line at both doors on the weekends for breakfast. I bet if you asked anyone of them what they thought of the food and service there they would tell you where you are wrong. I also enjoy eating at the communal tables. It is a good opportunity to meet someone new or get to know the people in your neighborhood." —xanimal
L.A. Resident Applauds South Bay Bike Plan
Joe Galliani filled South Bay residents in on the , and one Los Angeles resident weighed in:
"We need the Mr. Joe to head up to L.A. and start organizing for bike paths up here. I would love to use my bike more, but I am terrified of riding on the streets - even wide streets - because drivers shave it as close as possible or people open their car doors right in front of you. So congratulations on the South Bay Master Bicycle Plan!!!" —Melonie Magruder
