West Basin Water Will Require Proof Of Vaccination For Employees
West Basin Water District will require its employees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — West Basin Water District will require its employees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, the agency announced Friday.
Effective August 2021, employees will submit the proof of vaccination or submit a request for reasonable accommodation under a medical or religious exemption, the agency said.
Employees who are not vaccinated or who request accommodation will be required to do weekly COVID-19 testing.

"With a surge in the Delta variant of the coronavirus and a partial return to the office for the approximately 50 employees of West Basin, the Interim General Manager, under the direction of the Board of Directors, made the decision in order to ensure a safe and full reopening," the agency announced.
West Basin Municipal Water District is a wholesale water agency that serves nearly one million people in 17 cities and unincorporated areas in Los Angeles County. West Basin provides imported drinking water, recycled water, and conservation and education programs.
