2 Arrested, Accused Of Identity Theft: SMC Sheriff's
The Peninsula couple were operating an identity theft ring involving counterfeit credit cards out of a Redwood City motel: SMC Sheriff's.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Two San Francisco Peninsula residents were arrested on suspicion of identity theft crimes involving counterfeit credit car, mail theft and stolen property, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Department reported.
Sheriff's deputies responded Wednesday to the Garden Motel at 1690 Broadway in Redwood City to investigate a theft case out of San Carlos that had been previously reported and learned the suspects identified as Kirk Vernell Moore, 51, of East Palo Alto, and Veronica Machado, 28, of Daly City were renting a room there.
Evidence included a credit card skimmer, several pieces of stolen mail, checks and stolen property belonging to victims from neighboring cities. They also located a replica firearm that was illegally altered to look like a real firearm.
