$70K Peninsula Residential Burglary Under Investigation

Residents came home to find the kitchen window screen removed and the glass window opened, police said.

DALY CITY, CA — Authorities are investigating a Peninsula residential burglary last week in which cash and merchandise valued at $70,000 was stolen, Daly City police said.

Officers at around 11:04 p.m. Jan. 21 responded to the 200 block of Bay Ridge Drive on the report of a residential burglary in progress, police said.

Residents came home to find the kitchen window screen removed and the glass window opened, police said.

One of the residents saw a possible suspect, described as a thin male wearing a dark-colored hoodie, blue jeans, and black sneakers, walk out from between residences.

The suspect was last seen walking on Bay Ridge Drive towards Oriente Street, police said.

The burglars got away with $30,000 in cash and 10 Louis Vuitton purses valued at approximately $40,000 along with social security cards, a green card, and a safe deposit key, according to police.

This investigation is continuing.
