Accused Pimp Arrested, Suspected Of Human Trafficking In Redwood City
The investigation began in December when detectives made contact with a trafficking victim at a Redwood City hotel, police said.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — An Oakland man arrested Wednesday is accused of pimping and pandering after authorities in Redwood City allege he trafficked a victim discovered at a hotel.
The police department's Street Crimes Suppression Team began investigating after coming into contact with the victim in December, officials said. Detectives developed a suspect in the case, identified Wednesday as Marqus Alexander Coleman, 33, of Oakland.
Probation officers in Alameda County arrested Coleman at his Oakland home Wednesday, and Redwood City police said a search of the property revealed evidence linking him to the crime. Coleman was booked into jail on suspicion of two felony human trafficking charges.
