Another Mountain Lion Spotted on Olive Hill Ln.

The big cat was reported in Woodside at 8:45 Wednesday morning.

According to a release from the San Mateo County Sheriff's Command staff, a mountain lion was seen Wednesday morning in the vicinity of Olive Hill Lane in Woodside.

The animal was reported at about 8:45 a.m. near the 100 block of Olive Hill Lane, off of Canada Road. Officials did not say if it was the same animal reported on on Olive Hill Lane on Sept. 10.

Sheriff's deputies searched for the animal, but could not locate it.

Emergency officials warn residents who might come in contact with the wild cats to keep a close eye on small children and not to run in the event of an encounter. Instead, people are advised to appear large, make noise and throw rocks or other objects at the animal to scare it away.
