Appointments Required For Boosters At San Mateo Co. Event Center

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Appointments are now required for COVID-19 booster shots at the San Mateo County Event Center because of an increase in demand, the county announced on Wednesday.

Appointments had previously been preferred, but not required, and the event center had been accepting walk-ins.

People can still get their shots at other vaccination clinics and locations in San Mateo County without an appointment.

The San Mateo County Event Center has been offering booster shots since early October, and demand has been steady.

Amid the detection of the Omicron variant, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that all eligible adults should get a booster shot.
