Are Redwood City Residents Interested In Recycled Water Fill Stations?
The city is surveying residents on whether they'd like a recycled water fill station program.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City residents are invited to take a survey to gauge their interest in a recycled water fill station program.
The city is currently in Phase 2 of its Recycled Water Project, which aims to funnel water towards downtown Redwood City via recycled water pipes west of Highway 101.
The recycled water system along Walnut Street from Highway 101 to Marshall has already been completed, as has an extension of the system along East Bayshore Road from Seaport Boulevard to Douglas Avenue. That line crosses Highway 101 for the Stanford in Redwood City project along Broadway.

The first phase, which expanded the recycled water system along the eastern boundary of Highway 101, was completed in 2010. It services more than 450 points of connection, including Oracle, Electronic Arts, the Redwood City Police Station and the Port of Redwood City.
The city said that recycled water through the fill station can be used for landscape irrigation, ornamental water features and washdown.
