Bibbs and the victim, 48-year-old Tedrick Towns, were involved in an argument hours before Towns was found slumped over a bench with a pool of blood underneath him at the bust stop at 11 West Hillsdale Boulevard. The argument occurred sometime after 1:40 a.m., police said, and a community member waiting for the bus found Towns hours later.

He had two previous convictions involving stabbing a person. He also failed to register as a sex offender and was a parolee-at-large with an outstanding warrant, according to police.
