Drone Helps San Mateo County Deputies Nab Burglary Suspect
Randal Maykopet is charged with burglary of a motor vehicle, attempting to steal a vehicle, second-degree robbery and resisting arrest.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A drone helped law enforcement in San Mateo County recently track down a burglary suspect.
With the help of its new Matrice 300 drone, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said it assisted Colma police Friday with tracking down Randal Maykopet.
Deputies said the drone has strong night vision capabilities and can "heat up" objects in the dark— which comes in handy for locating wanted suspects.
