Crews Put Out Power Pole Fire On Hwy 84, But Tree Topples Nearby
The power pole blaze that broke out two miles east of La Honda off Highway 84 was extinguished. Crews then responded to a tree toppling.
LA HONDA, CA -- Motorists be advised of hazards in the rural landscape. San Mateo County's emergency crews are now dealing with a tree that toppled into power lines on Alpine Road east of Pescadero Road in La Honda. The road is completely blocked.
Earlier it was announced that in the same areaa power pole was on fire on Highway 84 about two miles east of La Honda.
The fire prompted one-way traffic control at Mile Marker 10.7.
