Inferno Injures Peninsula Resident Saved By Deputies In 5th Wheel
Crews battled the blaze at about 10:20 p.m. Sunday on Bayshore Drive in a mobile home park where the 5th wheel resident was sleeping.

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- A San Mateo County resident is lucky to be alive thanks in part to alert neighbors and fast-acting first responders. Three San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies were on the scene of the blaze that broke out in a 5th wheel mobile home on East Bayshore Drive in Redwood City Sunday night.
The occupant was injured and had to be transported to a local hospital but is still breathing.
The Redwood City Fire Department also responded to the 10:20 p.m. call at the mobile home park at 3401 East Bayshore with five engines, a truck and two battalion chiefs.

When the authorities arrived, flames were roaring out of several blown out trailer windows.
A large crowd was gathered and yelled that a woman in her 50s might be inside.
The deputies were able to make their way into the trailer where they found the woman unresponsive and helpless. They pulled her out to safety, and medical personal began life saving treatment.

The deputies were also taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and a minor cut.
The fire is under investigation.
