Intercultural World Travel Festival Comes to Redwood City!

Free event at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 celebrates cultures of the world.

The free inaugural Intercultural World Travel Festival takes place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at Courtside Square, 2200 Broadway in Redwood City.

The event will include the live singing of the National Anthem with violins by Jose Gonzales and Diego Lopez and the Marines will present the Color Guard.

There will also be cultural performances from Hawaii, Native Americans, Alaska, Mexico, Africa, China, Lebanon, Colombia and Greece.

Different world cuisine from several Redwood City restaurants will also be sold and the public will be able to admire an expo of 193 world flags and booths.

Organizers will be raffling airline tickets for Hawaii, Mexico, Europe Tours and Adventures of Disney.

The public is encouraged to come in traditional costume from their native countries to get a special gift.
