Man Charged For 1976 Gypsy Hill Murder
Investigators said a blood stain on Denise Lempe's jacket was tied to Levon Melvin Seymour.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA -- A 71-year-old man who has been deemed as a sexually violent predator and convicted of kidnappings was formally charged last week in the 1976 murder of Denise Lempe in Daly City.
A blood stain on Lempe's jacket was positively tied to Levon Melvin Seymour, who has been housed at Coaling State Hospital for his history of sexual violence and kidnappings, according to a report by the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office.
Lempe, who was 19 at the time of her death, was last seen leaving Serramonte Mall to her 1964 Mustang on April 1, 1976. Her body was found inside the car, which was parked near Macy's and Denny's.
