Missing Peninsula Toddler Found In Mexico
FBI and Mexican authorities helped locate the 3-year-old girl. The toddler has since been reunited with her family.
MILLBRAE, CA — A Peninsula toddler thought to be the victim of a parental abduction has been found safe in Mexico, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.
Andrea Flores, 3, who had been missing since New Year’s Day, was found in Mexico Jan. 7, authorities said. The toddler has since been reunited with her family.
Flores hadn’t been since a scheduled two-hour visit with her father, Victor Flores-Enriquez.

Under a child custody order, Flores-Enriquez had been allowed two-hour visits with his daughter in public places, three times a week, but he didn't return Andrea to her grandmother as planned after the Jan. 1 visit.

Authorities at the time the toddler went missing said Flores-Enriquez wasn't known to possess a vehicle and typically utilizes mass transit and/or ride share apps to travel. The man has also allegedly made recent comments about returning to Mexico.

The Sheriff’s Office did not indicate whether Flores-Enriquez faces criminal charges.
“Missing toddler Andrea Flores has been safely recovered and reunited with her family. Thanks to our partnership with the FBI and Mexican authorities, Andrea was located in Mexico on Saturday, January 7, 2023,” the agency tweeted.
“Thank you to the public for your concern, your support, and for submitting tips in this case. We also ask that you respect the family’s privacy at this time.”
