Peninsula Little League Heats Up
Two championship Little League games taking place in Redwood City.

The Peninsula's District 52 Little League tournament is heating up on the Peninsula, with two championship games on Wednesday.
The 12-year-old all-star team Redwood City East takes on the Belmont-Redwood Shores Little League team at 5:30 p.m. at the Belmont Sports Complex, 550 Island Parkway, Belmont. The winner-take-all championship game between the Belmont-Redwood Shores Little League 11-year-old all-stars and Pacifica American is Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Kiwanis Field/Red Morton Park, 1120 Roosevelt Ave., Redwood City.
Winners in the double-elimination tournament move to the Section 3 tournament on Saturday. The Section 3 winning team then moves onto the Northern California Championships. In the 12-year-old bracket, the winning team then moves onto the Western Regional in San Bernardino, and that winner travels to the 2013 Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Penn.
The District 52 all-star tournament is comprised of 14 all-star teams from Peninsula communities, from Palo Alto to Pacifica.
