Peninsula Uniqlo Robbery Suspect Arrested
The suspect punched the loss prevention employee during an altercation outside the store, according to police.
DALY CITY, CA — A suspect was arrested last week in connection with the robbery of a Uniqlo store at Serramonte Shopping Center.
The suspect, a 19-year-old San Francisco woman, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of robbery and possession of a burglary tool, according to police.
Officers at around 2:07 p.m. Jan. 3 responded to the Uniqlo store on the report of an altercation, police said.

The suspect entered the store and took two paper bags and then went into a dressing room with a white sweater she selected, according to police.
After a confrontation with a loss prevention employee who asked that the suspect return items when she was exiting the store, the suspect returned and was asked to leave multiple times, police said.

The loss prevention employee saw the suspect reach into her bag as if she was reaching for a weapon and asked, “Whatcha got in there? You gonna shoot me, stab me?”
The suspect responded and said, “Imma kill you!”
The suspect punched the loss prevention employee during a subsequent altercation outside the store, according to police.
Officers found that the suspect had two Uniqlo tags in her jacket pocket and a large silver magnet and a white sweater in her belongings,” police said in a news release.
The suspect was also wearing a pair of white sweats with the size sticker still on it under her gray sweatpants.
The stolen merchandise was valued at approximately $40.
