REDWOOD CITY, CA — A Redwood City salesman was charged with a hate crime assault after an Aug. 25 incident involving a 93-year-old man in South San Jose.
David Greenburg, 56, was accused of kicking the man's screen door, spitting towards him and saying, “Go back to your (expletive) country,” according to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.
The man was Persian-American and had told Greenburg that he didn't speak English, and that his son would call him back after Greenburg knocked on his door.
