REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City is seeking applicants to serve on its boards, commission and committees.

Several seats are open on nearly all of the city’s commissions. The positions allow residents to shape policy initiatives and advise the city council and staff.

“Effective government depends on the participation of a dedicated and diverse group of volunteers serving on our Boards, Commissions and Committees,” City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz said. “It is an excellent way to participate in local government and make a personal contribution to improving our community.”

All applicants must be 18 or older, live within incorporated Redwood City — with some exceptions for a few committees — and be eligible to vote.

Applications are due May 22. Interviews with the city council take place in the first week of June, and selections will be made on June 27.
