The Redwood City Advisory Redistricting Committee will hold a public meeting to consider five draft district maps for future elections.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City residents are invited to a public hearing Wednesday to provide feedback on redistricting maps based on 2020 census data.
The Advisory Redistricting Committee will vote on which of five draft district maps will be recommended to the city council.
Redwood City transitioned to district-based election system in 2019 from an at-large system, and held its first district-based election for councilmembers last year.

But with updated census data, the city must reorganize its district lines by April 2022.
At a Nov. 3 meeting, the committee was represented with three draft map options, but asked the city’s redistricting consultant to draft additional maps for consideration at the next meeting.
