SamTrans Adjusts Service In Response To Unrest

A temporary suspension of service to and from San Francisco from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. is among the adjustments.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Officials with the San Mateo County Transit District, also known as SamTrans, is adjusting service in response to the civil unrest in the Bay Area, the officials said Monday.

Service to and from San Francisco is suspended temporarily from 8p.m. to 5 a.m.

The change affects routes 292, 397, and 398.Certain routes, which have not been determined yet, are being adjusted for Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. because of a demonstration planned for City Hall in Redwood City.

Also, routes 270, 278, 295, 296, 398 and ECR will be detoured and will not stop at the Redwood City Transit Center.

Other route adjustment will be considered to protect riders and drivers, SamTrans officials said.
