San Mateo County Firefighters Help Reunite Dog With Owner: Photos
Firefighters took the dog to a veterinarian, and she was returned to her family after her chip was scanned.

PESCADERO, CA — A dog who was dropped off at a fire station in Pescadero on Sunday was reunited with her owners with the help of San Mateo County firefighters.

Firefighters took the dog to a veterinarian, and she was returned to her family after her chip was scanned — but not before she was appreciated, dubbed an "honorary firefighter," and given cool sunglasses and a Cal Fire hat to wear.
By Sunday afternoon, the Cal Fire CZU account tweeted that she was reunited with her owners.
