SigAlert: Overturned Truck Spills Debris Across Highway 101 Connector

Commuters were advised to avoid the state Route 92/ Highway 101 connector Monday morning while crews cleaned up crash debris.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — An overturned semi-truck scattered debris across the State Route 92/ Highway 101 connector Monday morning, backing up traffic for miles and triggering a rush hour SigAlert.

The crash occurred shortly before 6 a.m. Monday, on the westbound 92 connector to the southbound 101, according to the California Highway Patrol. As of 8:40 a.m., the SigAlert remained in place, and commuters were advised to avoid the area.

According to the CHP, A 70,000-pound, fully loaded trailer overturned, spilling debris across the lanes that passing vehicles struck.
