Bay Area Man Shot By Unidentified Suspect: Police

A local hospital reported the gunshot victim had arrived at their emergency room, police said

REDWOOD CITY, CA — A 20-year-old man arrived at a San Mateo County hospital Saturday with a gunshot wound and told officers he was sitting in a car when he was shot by an unknown suspect, police said.

At 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, Redwood City Police Department officers said they received a call from a local hospital that told them a gunshot victim had arrived at their emergency room.

Officers said they responded and spoke to the victim, a 20-year-old Redwood City man, who told them he was sitting in a car when he was shot by an unknown suspect.

He told officers that it had occurred in Redwood City but police said they have not determined an exact location.

The man was treated for a nonlife-threatening single gunshot wound, police said.
