Supervisors Will Cast Final Vote To Decide Bay Area Sheriff's Removal
After months of hearings and appeals, the board of supervisors will vote one last time to decide whether to remove the embattled sheriff.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors will consider final actions towards removing the sheriff at their meeting Tuesday.
The Board will review the advisory opinion submitted Oct. 6 by retired Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge James Emerson who recommends the removal of San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus.
Emerson oversaw the appeal hearing of Corpus's removal from her position as sheriff. He issued a 42-page opinion that presents his findings from the 10-day public hearing.
