Survey Aims To Assess Storm Damage In Unincorporated San Mateo County

The survey​ will help determine whether the county qualifies for state or federal disaster assistance.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A newly released survey aims to estimate the damage caused by a recent series of storms in unincorporated San Mateo County ’s 20 cities.

The County Department of Emergency Management survey will help determine whether the county qualifies for state or federal disaster assistance.

Completing the survey does not guarantee the region or the property owner will be eligible to receive disaster assistance. The survey is for property owners and renters as well as business owners.

Residents in the following areas are asked to fill out the survey if they have storm-related damage:

  • Pescadero
  • La Honda
  • San Gregorio
  • El Granada
  • Loma Mar
  • Miramar
  • Moss Beach
  • Ladera
  • Skylonda
  • Montara
  • North Fair Oaks
  • Emerald Lake
  • Harbor Industrial Park
  • Broadmoor
  • San Mateo Highlands

The survey will be open through Jan. 28, 2023.

Anyone with questions about the survey should call (650) 363-4599 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

Residents in need of assistance related to the storms should call 2-1-1 or 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

The county on Jan. 3, 2023 declared a local state of emergency.
