Suspect Arrested In Connection With Redwood City Bar Fight

Witnesses told police that during the Mar. 15 incident at the Wine Bar on Brewster Avenue, a victim had been assaulted, punched and kicked.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City police arrested a suspect in connection with a bar fight earlier this month during which a man was seen on surveillance footage kicking an unconscious victim in the head.

According to a news release on Monday, authorities took 30-year-old Aldo Medinavalenzuela into custody after identifying his vehicle and initiating a traffic stop.

Witnesses told police that during the Mar. 15 incident at the Wine Bar on Brewster Avenue, a victim had been assaulted, punched and kicked by a “group of male suspects that had been drinking at the bar.” The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, but the suspects fled the area in different directions.

Medinavalenzuela was booked into the San Mateo County Jail. Police haven’t announced if there are other suspects.
