United Against Hate Events Planned Next Week In Redwood City

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City is planning several events around United Against Hate Week next week, after a city council proclamation last week.

There are two events on Friday, the first being a virtual ceremony honoring Transgender Day of Remembrance. The virtual ceremony begins at 5 p.m. Register here and submit any community poetry or spoken word to Aileen Cassinetto at smcpoetlaureate@smcl.org. The event will also be live-streamed on the Redwood City Public Library YouTube Channel.
Sequoia High School will host a virtual dinner at 6:30 p.m., where the high school’s dream club students will share stories through spoken word, music and song. Tickets range from $20 to $50. Click here for more information.
