Update: Main St. Dog Park Plans Unleashed
The new dog park is intended for a place for dogs to socialize and practice agility.

A design agreement for the Main Street Dog Park, located between Elm and Beech streets in Redwood City, is now in place, and construction is expected to begin this summer.
According to Redwood City officials, an agreement with MIG and construction documentation services were initiated this earlier this month.
Due to the parks proximity to the train tracks, the Community Development Department has engaged with Caltrain.

The 2014 Main Street Dog Park project time line is as follows:
Jan-Apr Construction documentation
Apr-Jun Bid and Award project
Jul-Dec Construction
Because of its limited size, the park is intended to be a space for dogs to socialize and practice agility, rather than serving as a dog run. The fenced park space is designed to accommodate dog training and agility classes.
