Volunteers Needed To Help Fill In New Mural In North Fair Oaks
Volunteers will help complete a series of new murals in North Fair Oaks over several Saturdays this summer.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — The Culture Collective of North Fair Oaks is looking for more volunteers to help complete a series of new murals along the Fifth Avenue underpass, a few minutes south of Redwood City. Artist Emily Fromm predesigned each of the panels, and volunteers will help gill them in over several Saturdays this summer.
No experience is necessary and participants as young as 9 are welcome to lend a hand.
"Goals of this project include bringing culturally significant public art to the North Fair Oaks community and enhancing the beautification of the community, specifically on the 5th Avenue underpass," organizers write. "Improving this area would unite a community divided by the Caltrain tracks, encourage neighborhood cross-fertilization, celebrate the diversity of our community, make the area safer, discourage graffiti, serve as a gateway to North Fair Oaks and encourage walking & biking to the transportation corridors of Middlefield Road and El Camino Real."
