WOODSIDE, CA — The town of Woodside is set to receive $800,000 to install bicycle and pedestrian safety measures near Woodside High School.

The funds are courtesy of requests made by Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-Palo Alto). Approval of the funds is contingent on it passing the full Appropriations Committee and the full House after Eshoo said the funding was secured on Friday. In total, Eshoo secured $11.25 million for eight community projects in her district.

“I’m proud to have secured this funding which will go directly to local education projects, efforts to mitigate traffic congestion, and plans to strengthen senior care and mental health services,” Eshoo said.
