Earthquake Rattles The Bay Area, 3rd In 2 Days
Here's what the U.S. Geological Survey has to say about the earthquake and how to report your experience if you felt it.
SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude reading of 3.3 was felt in the Bay Area at 8:27 a.m.
The epicenter was close to Gilroy, according to the United States Geological Survey Shake Map.
Wednesday's earthquake comes one day after two small temblors were felt in the same area. At 1:41 a.m. Tuesday, a magnitude 3.2 quake occurred approximately 6 miles east southeast of Gilroy, followed less than a minute later by a magnitude 3.4
