15-Year-Old Steals Car, Leads Police On Chase Ending In Crash: Police
Deputies from the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office arrested a 15-year-old Wednesday after a high-speed chase ended in a crash.
SANTA ROSA, CA β Deputies from the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office arrested a 15-year-old Wednesday after a high-speed chase ended in a crash.
At 10:39 a.m., a deputy patrolling the area of E Street in Santa Rosa spotted a recently reported stolen car.
The deputy followed the car, waiting for additional units before pulling it over. The juvenile driver allegedly accelerated, leading deputies on a pursuit through the Bennett Valley area at speeds of up to 70 mph, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The chase ended when the vehicle crashed into a parked car near the intersection of Bethards and St. Paul drives. The juvenile allegedly attempted to run. With assistance from Santa Rosa police, deputies established a perimeter and arrested the suspect, sheriff's officials said.
The driver received medical attention at the scene and was booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of felony possession of a stolen vehicle, felony evading, and misdemeanor offenses for possession of burglary tools and hit-and-run. The driver was also on juvenile probation.
