2 Former Sonoma County Residents Found Dead In Marin

MARIN COUNTY, CA — The bodies of a man and a woman found in a vehicle in unincorporated San Rafael over the weekend have been identified, authorities said.

Harry Manus Marcellus, 49, and Helethia AnnaMarie Roth, 26, both former Cotati residents with no known addresses, were found dead in the community of Marinwood late Sunday morning, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

The cause of their deaths is not yet known and the cases are under investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said.

There were no obvious signs of foul play, the Sheriff’s Office said.

A forensic postmortem examination with toxicology testing was scheduled to be conducted Tuesday.

“Sheriff’s Deputies and the Coroner Investigator on the scene did not note any overt signs of traumatic injuries and/or suspicious circumstances on the subject’s during the scene investigation suggestive of foul play or a vehicle collision having taken place,” the MCSO said in a statement.

“There is no threat to the community.”

A deputy on routine patrol found Marcellus and Roth dead in a parked vehicle in a secluded area on land owned by Caltrans on St. Vincent Drive, the Sheriff’s Office said.
