2 Sentenced In Fatal Sebastopol Stabbing
The pair received probation and jail time in the April 21 death of Corey Alan Vaughn, 19, of Sebastopol.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA β Two Santa Rosa men were sentenced in Sonoma County Superior Court this morning for being an accessory to a Sebastopol stabbing murder. Joshua Cassidy, 22, and Shyzaha Thorpe, 21, were charged with a felony count of being an accessory. They pleaded to a misdemeanor accessory
count and will serve time in Sonoma County Jail.
Thorpe was sentenced to three years of probation and 180 days in jail. Cassidy was sentenced to three years of probation, 50 hours of community service and 90 days in jail. Both men have substantial credit for time already served since the slaying of Corey Alan Vaughn, 19, of Sebastopol, on April 21.
Anthony William Ibach, 18, of Sebastopol, allegedly stabbed Vaughn during a fight in a parking lot on Bodega Avenue and West Hills Circle.

Ibach and Vaughn had issues with each other and Ibach told Vaughn's friends he wanted to talk to Vaughn, who was at a house party nearby, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.
During a fight, Ibach allegedly slashed Vaughn's upper chest with a cutting instrument and fled in his BMW. Vaughn died at the scene.

Detectives determined Ibach drove his burgundy 2001 BMW to Cassidy's home in the 1500 block of Ludwig Avenue in Santa Rosa after the slaying, sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Crum said.
Cassidy and Thorpe drove Ibach in Thorpe's car to another friend's house in San Rafael, leaving Ibach's BMW parked at Cassidy's home, Crum said.
When Cassidy and Thorpe learned Ibach was wanted for murder, they drove back to Cassidy's home and ditched Ibach's BMW on Yuba Drive in west Santa Rosa, according to Crum.
Detectives found Ibach's BMW after receiving a tip from a Facebook follower. Cassidy and Thorpe were charged as accessories for taking Ibach to San Rafael and ditching Ibach's car in Santa Rosa.
San Rafael police found and detained Ibach, and he was arrested by sheriff's deputies. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 10.
Deputy District Attorney Javier Vaca said the plea bargain with Cassidy and Thorpe does not require them to testify at Ibach's hearing.
