Advisory: Traffic Delays Expected Due To Sonoma State Commencement Ceremonies
SSU commencement ceremonies are scheduled for 9 am, 1 pm and 5 pm Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21. Expect traffic delays in the area.
ROHNERT PARK, CA -- It's graduation season and Sonoma State University, and you know what that means -- traffic. Heavy traffic.
SSU commencement ceremonies are scheduled to be held at 9 am, 1 pm and 5 pm Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 at the campus, located at 1801 E Cotati Ave., Rohnert Park. The ceremonies are expected to draw about 12,000 people to the campus throughout the weekend.
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety says to expect traffic delays beginning around 11:30 am, 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm, with heavy traffic congestion lasting for about 30 minutes on the following roadways:

- E Cotati Ave from Petaluma Hill Road to Highway 101
- Rohnert Park Expressway from Petaluma Hill Road to Highway 101.
- Petaluma Hill Road from Adobe Rd to Snyder Lane.
