Alleged DUI Driver Leads Rohnert Park Cops On Slow-Speed Pursuit
Police initially received a call about a car that struck a cement wall at 1219 Capri Way and left the area.

ROHNERT PARK, CA β The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety arrested a driver on suspicion of driving under the influence Tuesday night after he led police on a brief slow-speed pursuit. The department received a call around 9:50 p.m. about a white Toyota that struck a cement wall at 1219 Capri Way and left the area.
An officer saw a vehicle matching that description driving on Snyder Lane, and the driver failed to pull over. The driver continued traveling about 20 mph on East Cotati Avenue before stopping on Sturtevant Drive.
The officer smelled the odor of alcohol, conducted field sobriety tests and determined the driver had a blood-alcohol level of 0.21 percent.

Nicholas Geist, 66, of Rohnert Park, was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of DUI, evading a peace officer and violating his probation for a previous DUI conviction, according to the Department of Public Safety.
