Apartment Fire Displaces Rohnert Park Family

ROHNERT PARK, CA — A family was displaced following a fire this afternoon at a Rohnert Park apartment complex, public safety officials said. A resident called at 12:49 p.m. to report that smoke was coming from an apartment at the Park Ridge Apartment Homes complex at 4949 Snyder Lane.

Public safety officials said the first firefighters to arrive found smoke coming from an upstairs apartment as neighbors were evacuating from nearby units.

Firefighters brought the fire under control in about 10 minutes and kept it from spreading beyond the kitchen.

But smoke damaged the entire unit, according to public safety officials. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
