Armored Truck Facility Robber Released From Hospital, Jailed: PD
Milton Gamez-Fierro, 41, of Santa Rosa, is being held in lieu of $2.5-million bail.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA β A Santa Rosa armed robbery suspect who was shot by a Santa Rosa police officer was released from a hospital Thursday afternoon and booked in the county jail on $2.5-million bail, a police lieutenant said. Milton Gamez-Fierro, 41, of Santa Rosa, was shot when he allegedly pointed a gun at Santa Rosa police Officer Timothy Gooler. Gooler, who has been a Santa Rosa police officer for three years, shot at Gamez-Fierro striking him two or three times, Lt. John Cregan said.
Gamez-Fierro and Jesus Gomez-Rosales, 29, of Lynwood, are suspected of robbing the GardaWorld armored car facility at 1650-B Northpoint Parkway around 2:50 a.m. on March 2.
Police said the two men were wearing ski masks and latex gloves when they tried to steal currency stored at the facility.

Gomez-Rosales was found hiding inside the GardaWorld building. He was arrested and booked in the county jail on $1-million bail.
Gamez-Fierro ran to a creek after he was shot but was apprehended, police said.

Gamez-Fierro was involved in an armed robbery of the GardaWorld facility on Northpoint Parkway in 2011, Cregan said. He was convicted of robbery and possession of a gun and sentenced to four years in federal
prison, Cregan said.
In this case, the men face robbery, false imprisonment and kidnapping charges.
